County superstar Miranda Lambert and her MuttNation Foundation teamed up with Rescue Rebuild yet again! Together they were able to improve the lives of senior dogs that have yet to find their forever home in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.
Everyone has heard the saying, “don’t judge a book by its cover,” but sometimes we just can’t help it. That proves the same for the outside of buildings as well. In hopes to make the Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary more appealing to the public to come on in and find their next four-legged family member, Rescue Rebuild and MuttNation got to painting!
Before grabbing their paint brushes and rollers, they pressure washed the entire building, the pergola and the fence. It suddenly looked brand new as the pressure washing turned the building back to the original wood color. The team then water sealed the fence and pergola to make the wood look nicer and help keep it from greying and rotting in the future.
Before it was time to get painting, they patched up the holes in the soffit due to previous roofing damage. This was important for not only the look appeal but also to keep out insects and birds.
Finally, time to get painting! The whole crew joined in as they had the whole front of the building to cover. With the fresh new look, those in the area will head on in and spend some time visiting the old timers in there looking for a good ol’ belly rub!
