Hey, Iowans, Tank is a terrific senior dog available through the Animal Rescue League of Iowa — and he loves to cuddle and take naps!
Friendly to everyone (and friskier than you’d expect at his age!), he loves to run and play with other animals — and he gets around pretty quickly, too!
Tank knows how to sit on command, but his love flows freely all the time. He’s a happy pupper who loves companionship; staffer say he has a real zest for life and its infectious!
Like many older dogs, Tank has multiple masses. Most appear benign, but a few were unclear in cytology, so there’s no absolute guarantee he’s cancer-free. His blood work shows evidence of kidney failure, so it’s recommended that he receive a special kidney-care diet. Come in to see him — you’ll find more information on his kennel — and folks at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa recommend potential adopters consult with their vet to discuss treatment options and address questions beforehand.
The best news? ARL has been able to care for Tank quite easily with help from the Grey Muzzle Organization.
And since Tank is a mature gentleman, he’s available through the rescue’s “Better With Age” program for a fee of $60.
Tank’s dream home is a relaxed place, where he’s sure to become a beloved part of the family.
Come in and see him! And for more information, visit the ARL website or call (515) 262-9503.
