We bought our Staffy a bull horn type thing sometime last year as he absolutely wrecks his chews (apart from super hardy nylabones) and ours is still going! No splinters or cracks, ours is also very smooth without the pointy ended bit and we've never had any trouble with it 🙂
I had a water buffalo horn for my dog, and it splintered, so I don't use them, but I know many who have used them just fine. I usually stick with antlers, but if you can't find them, that would probably be the closest alternative, if I remember right, I wanna say it also stunk

Hi erin! I just got a 6 month old Syrian named Pancake and had 2 questions…
1. She seems to squint a lot (but mostly when waking up to putter about for a few moments in the day) is she just sleepy? no water/crust around her eyes and i use aspen bedding and all safe products! (i built my cage around your channel) 2. Is it harder to tame an adult hamster? she is used to hands from the pet store owner petting her each day but i am still wondering if she will be harder to tame
My little one couldn't care less about the yogurt treats… and I was really expecting her to like them since she loooves sweet food generally.. but oh well, got a fussy hamster on my hands
Be VERY CAREFUL with the buffalo horn, they splinter super easy and my dog got a long splinter stuck in her throat and I had to rush her to the vet and they had to surgically remove it. Personally I would not risk giving the horn to your doggie, it almost killed my dog 🙁
Aaaaah. Important question!!! Why is my hamster licking my hand recently. They are sweaty but she has never done this before. I placed my hand out to pick her up and she started licking my entire hand. Is she dehydrated??
What do you do if your cat scratches your hamsters ear and her eyes aren’t opening. (I did not let her near the cat she chewed her way through something a chainsaw couldn’t cut through and escaped)
I love bendy bridges! They’re so versatile! Unfortunately my ratties also like to take part in cage decoration and love chewing little windows into the side of them
I live in Australia and our pet shops are lowkey actually awful. I've got mice (I would have a hamster but you can't get them here in Australia) and there are very little supplies for them, especially the stores range regarding wheels. There are only two types of wheels they sell but they are mesh or too small :/ very frustrating. Ordering online is cheap until postage is added, also say goodbye to all those aquariums that people use for housing small animals, because guess what THEY DON'T SELL THEM HERE. sorry for my rant lol xD
Too bad I live in the Philippines and Hamster supply here are so much hard to find, and almost all of them are entirely dangerous, and made in plastic for hamsters ??

Ever consider getting a guinea pig? If you do, just be sure to have at least 2 in one cage. They are very social animals.
