  1. Watch Ellie my dobbie on my channel I have put her funny videos. She is cute. Zak I follow your videos and train my dog Ellie, thanks for your videos.

  2. I really wish more people would just make their own dog treats, most pet treats are not very good for your pet. Until the same laws that govern human food also apply to pet food, my animals only get homemade meals and treats. Its so strange to me that most pet owners don't research the food and treats that they are giving their pets.

  3. Hey there my dog is a labrador and his name is Caesar the almighty king of Rome and he do this weird thing whenever we talk to him he just tilts his head. I do not have a complaint bout that cause its adorable and he is just 3 months old so any suggestions why does he do that??

  4. My rescue Autumn has this habit of wanting to groom me like she grooms herself. She's constantly trying to get in my hair and do that little thing they do to groom. Been trying to redirect her attention else where, but she still is wanting and trying to do it. It's so strange.

  5. My dog wouldn’t stop licking her chest so I checked her chest and there was this big hole! Its annoying her but not hurting her should I get it checked out by the vet?

  6. sweet little Doberman two of my first dogs died from one. so sweet of that Doberman

I am not saying all Doberman are like that but the one that did kill my dogs were trained and at a dog show

  7. Our new puppy growls every time we pet or pick him up. He sounds aggressive but doesn’t bite every time. He is teething though so occasionally he nips. We’re not sure what that means. He needs picked up occasionally yet growls every time.

  8. My dog yawns over food that she doesn't want. I'll offer her a piece of chicken and she'll gobble it up, but if I offer her a piece of cheese or another type of food that she doesn't like, she'll immediate yawn directly over it before moving away. Why? It's been 10 years and I've never figured it out.

  9. When I get up in the morning and go off to the bathroom, my dog jumps up in the bed and lies with her head on my pillow. I guess I took this to mean she wants to be "close to me" via my smell. When I come back in the morning, if I want to sit on that end of the bed she now knows to get up and move to the foot. It's funny because she does not like to sleep with me in the bed at all and always jumps down off the bed when it is time for lights out at night. Weird, eh?

  10. I don't know if I can keep my dog. I love your videos but my dog still isn’t potty trained and just started a barking phase.
When I got my Yorki-poo from a pet store at 5mo, she is 8mo now, she had the mentality that going where ever she was at was a good thing. Getting her from a pet store was probably a bad idea. It didn’t matter if she was in a very confined crate or not. She would go right where she is if she has to. With a little more room she would lay down in another part of the crate. But she would still trample it. I started off great trying to train to go outside, but I got her to go outside maybe 5% of the total time I have taken her out which is a lot for an hour sometimes more at a time. Because of frustration p, and not having time, and living in NY with cold weather and snow, I resorted to pads. When I finally got the right pad setup, she would go consistently on the pad 80% of the time but only in her pen. Outside of the pen I don’t really trust her even when reintroducing the pad, we have an open space in the living and dining room, so it’s hard to keep her in a small space to stay near the pad.
Besides that she has started barking, only in the pen for attention, to be let out, or to get her food faster. I have been countering that with Taking a step back when she barks until I am out of the room. She will stop eventually and then I takes steps forward while she is being quiet. When I get back to the pen I command a sit, lay down, and stay before rewarding. If I walk away though it all starts again. If I take her out, all is well.
This is a frustrating process because I feel the dog is not respecting me, or doesn’t want to be obedient with barking. Also at the same time, I don’t fully trust her out of the pen, so it’s a catch 22. I try to be a good owner but I also don’t always have the energy and time to play for an hour every morning and afternoon to lower occupy her. I do well with all the other training but these 2 affect our lifestyle the most. I don’t see many videos on the unique situation of getting a pet store dog that doesn’t know outside to pee.
Maybe you could make a video to help me and tell me what to look for to know I am getting progress. I don’t know if maybe I just shouldn’t have a dog if I can’t get these things consistently…??????

  11. My Jindo play bites my hand or arm when it’s time to go outside. I’d like to redirect this communication to the GoGo bell but he only wants to ring it when I’m towards the front of the house. Any thoughts?

  12. Great video as always!! I feel like my dog has a million different ways, behaviours and sounds to comunicate with us haha its funny sometimes, they are such very smart animals, and I think every individual animal has his way of expressing themselves 😀

  13. Piper is stunning ? ? ? ? Valentines weird things are, sucking her front ankle or putting her paw over her nose. She does both to fall asleep and has done them since she was a pup! ? ? ? ?

  14. Hi Zac, i have a german Shepherd , she is around 5 months old and her name is bailey….. I was at the park with a friend and we were playing with bailey and another dog on the playground when a stray came running past us and bailey chased her ( the stray looked dirty and mean) and I tried stopping her but she kept going after the stray down the street … so of course I’m running after her and calling her but still no response…. when the stray got away and bailey came back, bailey new she was in trouble so she just ran from me…. I don’t know how to get her to listen !!! It is very frustrating because I want her to listen and not get hit by a car or anything else that falls into that category…. any advise??? Thanks so much – ashlynn

  15. I got a new puppy, Siberian husky. He's only 8 weeks old, and I honestly feel like I'm failing him. he's good at following, he knows sit. I just feel like I can't break past that though. I feel bad if he's whining to get out of a room or if he wants something. I feel bad if I tell him no or if I don't let him have something. I just can't get him to cooperate. I don't know if it's because he's so young or because I got him 2 weeks ago, or even both. I jumped into this unprepared thinking I was ready and it would be easy, boy was I wrong. I love him to death and I won't give up on him, I just need help and advice bad. On top of all that I got the post puppy blues which is not helping at all.

  16. Great video and thanks for making a video about greyhounds! Could you make a video on how to help a timid dog be comfortable around people? My greyhound is a rescue, she loves us and loves going for walks. However when on walks and meeting new people she becomes extremely timid, anxious and tugs and tries to run! Tje more people, the more scared she becomes! I'm worried she may get hurt if she gets away from me! In this state she won't take treats (from others or me), play and won't be comforted. All she wants to do is escape the situation. Can you help?

  17. Hey Zak.
My Toller loves barking at cars and children. Sometimes chases them.
Its not just at home. It can be anywhere.
I have picked up a shock collar which stops it, but being a smart dog she knows not to bark while the collar is on..
    Any suggestions?

Just a random question, why do dogs circle before lying down?

  18. I need some advice. My dog knows how to sit but she will only do it when she stops right in front of me. She doesn’t sit when I say the word “sit.” I don’t know how I can help her associate the action of sitting with the word. Help pleasee

  19. I have a girl Doberman dog and she tries to hump/sexually assault me like all the time like a boy dog. I have to lock her out the room when i go to sleep cause she will try to rape me in my sleep. I read that she is trying to dominate me cause I'm 4'9 and cant really control her. Also, the article said I should pee on her, my question is when do I pee on her? and why does peeing on them help?

  20. My German shepherd is going to be 1 year this March, and the biggest challenges I'm having are when she gets a hold of something she shouldn't have, like a sock, pen, or garbage, and when I try to get her to give it to me, she runs away and tries to eat whatever it is. When I get close enough to put my hand under her mouth and ask her to drop it, often times she will growl and bare her teeth, and she has snapped at me. I've tried doing the treat exchange, and sometimes it works, but is that the best approach?

The other issue is when she gets sick on occasion (usually from eating fast then running around to soon after or when she got something she shouldn't have) the second she pukes she starts eating it again and won't let us near it to clean it up. Besides being really gross, I worry about her resource guarding behavior. I want to get this fear aggression (if that's what it is) under control so I can bring her out in public without the worry that she could bite someone.

  21. Can you do a video on how to train your dog NOT to take food from other people? My dog has severe allergies and everyone wants to give him “treats”.

  22. My dog wraps his paws around my legs when he knows I'm trying to walk inside (he's a German Shepherd, 1 year old) and I have no idea what it means! Maybe he's just grabbing my leg so I don't go inside? ?

  23. well done Shalom ! my dog looks at me to make sure its me when i put him up on the bed . hes never been on my bed with anyone else ! sometimes when i hold him he does that looks at me to seemingly make dble sure its me. my theory is that b4 i got him in a parking lot btw when he was 2yrs he was bred . he wasnt allowed in the house but possibly stuck in a mudrm off the garage / laundry rm . he was afraid of the dryer sound at 1st . he was severly dehydrated and did not know his name or to sit or play or even that i was talking to him. i think the kids used to sneak him unto their beds when mom wasnt looking . hes petrified of a few things and will never lick me or look at me much cuz i think he was beaten when he did. he doesnt have much of a desire to plse but i love him anyway . when hes good hes pretty good but when hes bad hes horrid , ya like the poem. hes a maltese , allergic to wheat with a really bad separation anxiety. after a few yrs hes gotten better and i finally after 6 yrs found a babysitter for him where once a mth he goes to give me a break . hes not affectionate and doesnt like me cuddling him . very strange but he cant help it . WHAT DO YOU THINK / OF MY ASSESSMENT OF HIM ? i give him excercise excercise but now hes getting older and cant walk very far. a little arthritic special;ly when its damp. i will miss him when he dies hes been a huge amount of work. not for inexperienced owners . he bites when he seems to feel like it out of the blue so when out i have to watch him like a hawk!! what an embarrassing boy! i've had dogs all my life and am 61 yrs and did not ask for a rescue but realized after i brought him home , yikes . he will be my last dog for sure . i love him for the most part but he a little messed up. he has a couple of good yrs in him so i hope we enjoy it tog. thx for listening
