  2. Hey Jaquie (and others who this might be helpful for), if you tend to do raw frozen foods that are lower in veggie content, there are a few other brands of freeze dried raw. Vital Essentials is 100% meat, bone, and organ. As I'm sure you know, convenient raw options can be really expensive, but I'm not sure how it compares to Sojos in price. It also makes a great addition to something like Sojos, or even non-complete (no meat) Sojos or Honest Kitchen. I like Honest Kitchen's company and sourcing more than Sojos personally, but it makes sense to feed what works for your dog and your preferences. HK is not raw, but is gently cooked – which increases digestibility of veggies for dogs. It's also more finely crushed which helps with dogs being able to get nutrients from it, since they can't break down cellulose well.

  3. Maybe  one  day  you  can   try  homemade Alfredo  sauce  it  is  so  easy .  I   don't  like  the  ingredients  in  the  sauce  in  the  jar.

  4. Bear usually gets chicken/chicken organs with the occasional egg/tablespoon of yogurt/other appropriate tasty snack but we switched to beef proteins for a few days to use up some ground beef and he loves it- I was watching this on the TV and he was getting excited, lol! I think he's jealous! 🙂

  5. I know golden retrievers and Labrador retrievers are great working dogs and super smart but they are also very high energy so I was wondering how do you manage Harlow on your bad days and how do you keep her so tame and focused in public and while training her. My lab is very hyper

  6. I'm sure Harlow will be fine on this food. The vast majority of dogs do just fine on kibble and many vets agree that homemade raw diets can actually be dangerous anyway, so it's definitely good to prioritize your own health and limitations. Good choice!

  7. Definitely keep us updated on how Harlow is doing with the Sojos food! I would love to try that for my pup since I cannot physically prep raw meals for my service dog. I really want something better for her though, so let us know how it's working out! 🙂

  8. Yeah! Harlow got her cot back. So it’s back to training “place”. Good dog! I have been sick and taking care of my mom who is recovering at my house after surgery due to breaking her hip. So I completely understand on trying to find an easy way to feed the family. I’m glad Harlow likes the dehydrated food. Sending prayers.

  9. Thank you for sharing all that you found out on the raw food, that was helpful, especially for down days and also when we have storms or other emergencies. Just sharing here-We do whole foods that are either cooked or raw, but follows barf amounts. We do this because we found this dehydrated food to mix in from time to time or to give separately, its called The Honest Kitchen if anyone is interested, smells good and human grade. It's weird sometimes she eats it like mad and others days she stares at it. I guess its like us folks she is not in the mood for some things. Still playing with it before I change to what you have, but maybe it is something I will use together or switch around. Other times we cook so the dog can eat it too she just gets no grains and more meat than we do, it works out if we are cooking. I love how you remind us to brush up our dogs skills as we forget and I had huge success, our puppy turned 1 year and she is now reliable to walk nice to the postal box, with minimal distractions, she actually was looking to do it. Good teacher Jacquie, thank you. Blesisngs!

  10. I've been having health problems and every time I get an IV, I hate how the saline flushes make my throat taste and similar for the other drugs. Do you feel the same way about all the medicine you take through your port?

  11. Hi Jacquie, I'm new to your channel so sorry if you have a video on/have mentioned this before, but I was just curious if your chronic illnesses cause you to not menstruate? If you do still menstruate then could you do a video on coping with periods in a wheelchair? Sorry if this is too personal, I was just curious 🙂

  12. I'm always very impressed by you, in everything you do. This time I'm super impressed with your Harlow food prep. When my EDS/POTS/MCAS kicked in full force, the first time, I developed an aversion to food, eating it, making it, going into the kitchen, etc. I've been getting a little better lately with that. I actually went into my kitchen twice this week! I've been seeing a lot of food preparation for humans on Pinterest. Do you ever do that for you and Judd? I'd love to try, but it's all very overwhelming for me. I don't have any pets right now, but I still love learning how you train and care for Harlow. She's a true gem. You all are. Thanks for taking us on your adventures! Best of luck in your surgery and I wish for you a smooth and speedy recovery. Sorry if I rambled. Lol.

  13. I saw that you use some cleanings product with perfume in, you are not allergy to that? I love that we in Denmark have a series of cleaning products without perfume. And also love you're videos. Get fighting! 😀

  14. another sausage meal that is good is you alternate sweet italian sausage and hot/spicy italian sausage in a glass brownie or lasagna pan (depending on the quantity of sausage used). Cover with your favorite spaghetti sauce and top with mozzarella cheese. Bake in the oven and serve with pasta. Make sure to serve one of each type of sausage per serving. The alternating of sweet then hot, sweet then hot is the key to the flavor blending and makes serving both types of sausage an easy thing. You could freeze the extra or make in small pyrex or something for a single serving

  15. i thought i would share this with you. my massage therapist uses it on her table before i get there so the table isn’t freezing and suggested i get one because winter was coming and i can’t regulate my body temp. i thought maybe you would benefit from having one as well. we just put it on my side of the bed under the mattress pad. it does have little elastic straps to go over the corners of the bed but we didn’t use them because they wouldn’t stretch to the other side of a king size bed, but it doesn’t move around or anything, it stays in place under the mattress pad and the flannel fitted sheet.

they do make mattress pads that are heated and are broken into sections so that only your side is heated and judd’s wouldn’t be, but i haven’t seen them as big as you need it to be for your new bed.

this is like having a giant heating pad for your whole side of the bed!
