Never had a flea or tick problem when living up north in the mid-west using Frontline. We moved to the deep south and Frontline was ineffective. I switched to Advantix II which works much better, but my poor dog developed an itch, he was miserable. I purchased this and love the way it smells. Time will tell whether or not this will work – I am very hopeful and am all about using natural products.
I ordered Vets+Best from Amazon.com, 4 days ago. It arrived today, so I applied it to my two dogs. Wow ….. it kills fleas almost on contact. I sprayed each dog all over, not real heavy, and rubbed it into their hair and skin. I started on their back, and by the time I got to their legs, the fleas on their back were DEAD. Nothing I have used as done that. My dogs have not scratched now, for 4 hours. I combed their backs and removed gobs of dead fleas. So I sprayed their beds, our rugs, and our floors …. in each room. I honestly think it will be possible to get rid of the fleas.
You lost me at "Frontline is top of the line…" Frontline spends the most on advertising, true… but it does mean it works. Based on my personal experience, I picked more ticks off my dogs with Frontline than any other treatment, and I have tried many. Yes. I applied it properly! So do not blame the consumer – Which is what Frontline will do if you call and complain. My vet recently stated that it is as though it does not work as well anymore. He has received numerous complaints about its ineffectiveness. As a result, he no longer recommends it.
We have found that Frontline no longer works for flea control. The last two times we have applied it, our two girls were still having problems with fleas. At $100.00 for each dog, it was working out too expensive when it didn't work anymore so, we are now trying Advantix which is just as expensive but at the moment, it seems to be doing the job. Perhaps the company that produces Frontline has changed the formula because, I have read of many people who used to use it and found that it is no longer effective.
Is it ok to give a dog consecutive tick baths?
I just watched 10 videos on killing fleas and this was the best by far!!! Praise God! God bless you lady. I'm going to go buy that spray right now?
