  1. THIS IS SO FUNNY! HOPE IT GOES VIRAL. MY BORDER COLLIE TRIPOD SPENT OVER A YEAR IN A SHELTER, AND SINCE IT WAS DIFFICULT TO EXERCISE, HIS BACK LEG HAD BEEN AMPUTATED BECAUSE HE WAS SHOT, HE GAINED MAYBE 20 POUNDS OR MORE. HIS HEAD WAS FAT. HE DRAGGED HIMSELF AROUND. MY FRIEND, A BREEDER OF SHELTIES, RECOMMENDED PRESSURE COOKED STRING BEANS AND CHICKEN. SO HE DID LOSE WEIGHT, AND HIS HEAD GOT TO BE NORMAL SIZE, BUT HE WAS STILL A BIG BOY. THIS REMINDED ME OF HIM. GIVE YOUR CASEY A BIG FAT KISS AND A PIECE OF CHRISTMAS TURKEY!

  2. Feed Casey a raw diet.  He will never be hungry and lose weight quickly.  Dogs are carnivores not vegetarians…that's why he is hungry and overweight.  Adding more carbs is not the solution.  Feeding a species appropriate diet is.  If you are feeding kibble, he is already getting too many carbs.  Feed fat and protein for healthy nutrition and healthy weight.
